 Working for Edinburgh West

We have two councillors Kate Mackenzie (Ward 1 - Almond) and Jeremy Balfour (Ward 6 - Corstorphine/Murrayfield) who have for many years worked to assist and represent the electors in their wards.

The association has recently selected two new candidates for next years City Council Elections: Lindsay Paterson for the Almond ward and Mark Brown for the Drum Brae Gyle Ward, they are already working in the area alongside our existing councillors.

Featured Story

Barnton Hotel update Cllr Kate MacKenzie recently asked the listed building planner to visit the hotel to look at the security (or lack of security) of the building and surrounding fence. Cllr MacKenzie then asked Lindsay to join her a couple of weeks later on a visit to see if the security had been upgraded as promised by the developer. Kate and Lindsay were horrified to see a group of young people who had entered the derelict building by a side door and were seemingly unaware of the perilous nature of the site.
